Right of Way Tool

Instructions:

Begin typing the name of your road or street. Select the name of your road*. The tool will automatically tell you a recommended distance to place your sign.

If a street isn't on this specific list, it generally means it is not a county-maintained road.

Most likely, the missing road falls into one of these categories:

  • State Highways: Maintained by the state Department of Transportation.

  • City Streets: Maintained by a local municipality if it falls within city limits.

  • Private Roads: Maintained by a Homeowners Association (HOA) or private property owners.

  • New Developments: Newly paved subdivision roads that haven't formally been dedicated to or accepted by the county yet.

* Some Right-of-Ways (ROW) vary and are estimates. If the ROW is variable this will calculate the higher of the two. Notes are included if variable.
